Thangalaan OTT Release: "Thangalaan," a Tamil action-adventure directed by Pa. Ranjith, was produced by Studio Green, Neelam Productions, and Jio Studios. Thangalaan OTT Release Date And Platform
"Thangalaan" was released in theaters worldwide on August 15, 2024, aligning with India's Independence Day, and was presented in both standard and 3D formats. While Netflix secured the digital streaming rights and initial reports suggested an OTT release on Diwali, October 31, the film did not premiere on that date. Currently, its streaming timeline remains uncertain.
In related news, K.E. Gnanavel Raja, the producer of "Thangalaan," has reportedly found himself in legal trouble after Reliance Entertainment filed a case against him in the Chennai High Court. The lawsuit centers around an outstanding loan taken for film productions, including "Teddy" and "Thangalaan." Despite having repaid a significant portion, the remaining balance has prompted Reliance Entertainment to seek legal action, requesting the court to block the release of Gnanavel Raja's upcoming film "Kanguva" and to delay the OTT release of "Thangalaan" until the dues are settled. Nevertheless, there are reports indicating that "Thangalaan" may still arrive on Netflix in November 2024.
