Vikram's Thangalaan Gets A Confirmed Release Date: Chiyaan Vikram's one of the highly awaited films is Pa. Ranjith's directorial titled 'Thangalaan.' The movie which was shot a long time ago has been looking for a feasible release date and was postponed continuously many a time due to clashes at the box office. The period action drama is now finally ready for its grand theatrical debut worldwide in five languages.

Thangalaan was extensively shot in Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, Madurai, and Karnataka. Vikram underwent a near-impossible transformation for playing the title role in the film for the story co-written by Pa. Ranjith, Tamil Prabha, and Azhagiya Periyavan.

Thangalaan (Vikram) is a tribal leader in India ruled by the British Raj. He embarks on a valiant fight against the system and the British after they conspire to loot his land for mining gold.

Thangalaan Release Date Official

After several postponements, Vikram's highly-awaited release, Thangalaan, will now hit the screens on August 15. The filmmakers are going to make the movie available in standard and 3D formats for a better viewing experience for the fans. The film's theatrical trailer is expected soon.

Meanwhile, musician-actor G.V. Prakash Kumar, who finished composing the score for Thangalaan stated that the movie is going to be terrific and the theatrical trailer will blow audiences and fans' minds away. Check out his tweet below.
