The GOAT Movies's First choice Wasn't Thalapathy Vijay: The most exciting espionage action thriller written and directed by Venkat Prabhu featuring Thalapathy Vijay, 'The Greatest of All Time (GOAT)' is ready to enthral the actor's fans and cinema lovers on the big screen. The movie is going to have a mammoth-scale release all over the world on September 5 for the Vinayaka Chaviti festive weekend.

Thalapathy Vijay's The GOAT will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The movie stars several renowned actors and Trisha is also said to be part of the movie in a special cameo. In addition to the exciting trailer, the presence of so many actors added to the hype ahead of its release.

Rajinikanth & Dhanush Are The First Choice

But, the filmmaker revealed that he didn't at first think of Thalapathy Vijay to play the protagonist in a dual role in The GOAT. Speaking to the media about the movie as part of the promotions, Venkat Prabhu revealed that he chose Rajinikanth and Dhanush.

He said that he wrote the script during the pandemic-induced lockdown keeping in mind these actors. He wanted to cast them as the father and son. After a set of changes had been made to the script, Thalapathy came on board to portray both roles.

The much-hyped movie stars an ensemble cast of Vijay, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj among others in key roles.

Bankrolled by AGS Entertainment banner helmed by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh, the movie has its background score and entire music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Siddhartha Nuni is cranking the camera and Venkat Raajen is working as the film's editor.
