Thug Life Clenches A Lucrative OTT Rights Deal: The veterans of Kollywood, the renowned filmmakers Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam have come together after 36 years to recreate their magic on the big screen. Titled 'Thug Life,' the movie is currently under production and the filming is happening at lightning speed.

Thug Life shows Kamal Haasan in a triple role as Rangaraya, Sakthivel, and Nayakar. Nothing more about the movie's story or theme has not disclosed as yet.

The digital streaming rights of this action entertainer film which boasts of Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and AR Rahman, has a solid fanbase and expectations. Especially after the success of Vikram and Ponniyin Selvan 1 & 2, the fans are highly excited about Thug Life.

The leading OTT giant Netflix had reportedly secured the digital streaming rights of the movie for a whopping Rs 150 Crore. For a movie still in production, the OTT deal is said to be lucrative and remarkable.

When the movie was first announced, it was said that Thug Life was supposed to arrive towards the end of 2024. However, due to production delays, the makers of the film have decided to bring the movie out for a remarkable festive season for Tamil Nadu- Pongal. According to the latest buzz, Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam's star-studded and hyped film will be hitting the screens in January 2025.

Trisha is the film's leading lady. Along with Kamal Haasan, the action drama stars Simbu, Abhirami, Nassar, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Jayam Ravi, Ashok Selvan, Rohit Saraf, Pankaj Tripathi, Jisshu Sengupta, Vaiyapuri, Sanya Malhotra, and Aishwarya Lekshmi among others in key roles.

Bankrolled jointly by Kamal Haasan, R Mahendran, Mani Ratnam, and Siva Ananth, the movie, touted to be an action drama film is made under the banners Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies. Co-written by Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, Mani Ratnam will direct the movie. AR Rahman is joining hands with Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam for what is expected to be an astounding album and score, again. A. Sreekar Prasad and Ravi K. Chandran are signed for the project as the editor and cinematographer of the movie, respectively.
