Vettaiyan First Review: Rajinikanth's massive fan following across the world is in for a massive treat during Navratri. The superstar, who was seen doing an extended cameo in Lal Salaam, is coming with his much talked about film Vettaiyan. Directed by T. J. Gnanavel, Vettaiyan marks Rajinikanth's 170th film as a lead actor. Apart from Rajinikanth, Vettaiyan also features Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan and Abhirami in key roles and will be hitting the big screen ahead of Vijay Dashmi.
Needless to say, Vettaiyan has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. After all, it marks Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan's reunion after over three decades. It is reported that Vettaiyan narrates the story of a retired police officer SP Ajith IPS (played by Rajinikanth) as he fights against the system. On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan is seen playing the role of Sathyadev in the film. Taking to the micro-blogging site, Anirudh Ravichander dropped hints about Vettaiyan being a winner. He gave the movie an applaud along with winner's trophy emojis. Anirudh tweeted, "#Vettaiyan 🎯🎯🎯🎬🎬🎬👏👏👏🏆🏆🏆". Resharing the tweet, trade analyst Ramesh Bala wrote, "World's first review of #Vettaiyan is out!"

Interestingly, as the makers have started the advance booking for Vettaiyan lately and the movie has received a phenomenal response from the audience. Releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages, Vettaiyan has managed to rake in Rs 10.33 crores from advance booking to far with the sale of over 5.2 lakh tickets
Rajinikanth's First Note After Getting Discharged
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth, who was recently hospitalised owing to stomach pain, was discharged on October 3. He took to his Twitter account and shared a note expressing his gratitude towards his friends and fans across the world. The post was shared in Tamil which roughly translates to, "To all my political friends who wished me a speedy recovery, to all my film fraternity friends, to all my well-wishers, the press and media, my sincere thanks to you all. And to the fans who have made me, who keep me alive and love me immeasurably, praying for my well-being. I express my sincere gratitude to you all."
