Viduthalai 2 Box Office Collection Day 1 (Early Updates): After the enormous success of Maharaja, Vijay Sethupathi has the best way to end this year... with the release of his highly-anticipated film 'Viduthalai Part 2'. Directed and co-produced by Vetrimaaran, the Tamil-language period crime-thriller, Viduthalai 2, hit cinemas today (December 20). The sequel stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead alongside Soori and Manju Warrier among others in important roles.

Featuring Vijay Sethupathi as Perumal 'Vaathiyaar', the leader of the separatist group 'Makkal Padai', the story of Viduthalai 2 picks up exactly from it ended in the part 1. The sequel stars Manju Warrier as Perumal's wife 'Mahalakshmi' and Soori as 'Constable Kumaresan' along with Kishore, Bhavani Sre, and Gautham Vasudev Menon among others in prominent roles.

Amid decent buzz, Viduthalai Part 2 opened to mostly positive reviews from fans and critics alike. In the sequel, the conflict between Constable Kumaresan and separatist group leader Perumal takes an intense turn.

According to the latest Sacnilk updates, the Tamil film has scored around Rs 2 cr (nett) on the opening day till 5:50 pm. As per the sacnilk report, Viduthalai 2 had an occupancy of 29.61% during morning shows and 30.88% footfalls in afternoon shows. The evening and night show numbers are yet to come.

As the Sacnilk live box office collection updates, Vidhuthalai 2 has already surpassed more than half of Viduthalai Part 1's opening day numbers on day 1. According to reports, Viduthalai Part 1 (2023) had grossed around Rs 3.85 cr (nett) on the day of its release.

Given the current buzz, Sethupathi's Viduthalai 2 is likely to beat part 1's opening day numbers today itself.
