Vijay's Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam Party Flag Decoded: Tamil actor Vijay has been all over the headlines these days as he has entered politics. The superstar turned politician and announced his entry into politics earlier this year. To note, Vijay had announced a new political party named Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam and his political debut has got everyone brimming with an opinion. And now, Vijay is breaking the internet again as he announced the flag of his political party.

During the event, actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay took the pledge along with the party workers at the party office after he unveiled the party's flag and symbol today. To note, Vijay's political party flag was a two coloured flag including yellow and maroon colours and also had 'Vaagai' flowers surrounded by elephants. For the uninitiated, the Vaagai flower, which is the flag's central motif, happens to be a victory symbol which was worn by kings during the Sangam period.

Vijay's Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam Party Flag's Spanish Connection

As the TVK flag is grabbing a lot of eyeballs, fans couldn't resist its resemblance with the Spanish flag. It is reported that Vijay happens to be a huge fan of Spanish Tennis player Rafael Nadal and the late Carlos Alcaraz which is likely the inspiration behind the design of the TVK Flag. Interestingly, it looks quite similar to the flag of Spain which also has maroon and yellow horizontal stripes.

Meanwhile, talking about unveiling the party flag, Vijay stated, "I know you all are waiting for our first state conference. Preparations are on for it and very soon I will announce it. Before that, I unveiled our party's flag today. I feel very proud... We will work together for the development of Tamil Nadu". It is reported that Vijay is likely to contest in 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections
