Is The GOAT Movie Climax Copied From A Hollywood Flick? Thalapathy Vijay hit the screens for the Vinayaka Chaviti festival weekend with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu's sci-fi action-thriller titled 'The Greatest of All Time' (GOAT). The movie was released to sky-high hype and record-breaking advance bookings worldwide on September 5 in Tamil and Telugu. Upon its theatrical release, the movie featuring several notable actors and stars from Kollywood met with a mediocre response from fans and critics.
GOAT Synopsis
Gandhi (Vijay) is a successful member of the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS) and is known for his terrorist mission in Kenya, under the leadership of Menon (Mohan). While in Bangkok, Gandhi finds out that his son Jeevan (Vijay) is dead and years later is shocked to see Jeevan alive and kicking in Russia. After they come home, unusual events start forcing Gandhi to uncover the truth behind Jeevan's disappearance and reappearance.
Is GOAT's Climax Copied From A Hollywood Film?
After the movie earned mixed reactions which were mostly discouraging, several fans also spotted similarities with a Hollywood film titled 'Final Score.' As per a report on 123 Telugu, the climax scene in The GOAT movie is almost the same to that of one in the movie 'Final Score,' with the difference being a Cricket Stadium and the feature of MS Dhoni. Many of them who watched the movie are criticizing the director for wasting a great opportunity of directing Thalapathy Vijay in one of his last few films; in a double role.

The much-hyped movie stars an ensemble cast that includes Vijay, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj, among others, in key roles.
