3BHK OTT Release: The Tamil film 3BHK, which released in theaters on July 4, 2025, is now gearing up for its digital premiere. Directed and written by Sri Ganesh and headlined by Siddharth and R. Sarathkumar, the coming-of-age family drama will soon be available for streaming.

According to available reports, 3BHK will begin streaming on Prime Video and Simply South starting August 1, 2025. While an official announcement from Prime Video is awaited, Simply South has confirmed the release on their platform for viewers outside India. The platform posted on social media that the film will be available in both Tamil and Telugu languages, with global access excluding India.

A Decade-Spanning Tale of a Family's Pursuit of Stability in Urban Chennai

Set in the late 2000s and beyond, the story follows a middle-class family in Chennai navigating financial challenges while striving to buy a home of their own. Vasudevan, a government employee, along with his wife and two children, faces rising living costs, housing struggles, academic pressures, and workplace hurdles. The film captures their collective resilience as they adjust ambitions, make sacrifices, and support each other through uncertain times. Spanning over a decade, the narrative offers a grounded portrayal of generational aspirations, changing relationships, and the pursuit of stability in an ever-evolving urban landscape.

The film is based on Aravindh Sachidanandam's short story 3BHK Veedu and features a strong ensemble cast including Devayani, Meetha Raghunath, Chaithra J Achar, and Yogi Babu. Supporting roles are played by Subbu Panchu, Vivek Prasanna, and Thalaivasal Vijay.

Initially announced in May 2024 under the working title Siddharth 40, the film's official title, 3BHK, was revealed in February 2025. Filming began in July 2024 and wrapped up in March 2025, with principal photography reportedly taking place across various locations in Chennai.

The film's technical crew included cinematographers Dinesh B. Krishnan and Jithin Stanislaus, editor Ganesh Siva, and music composer Amrit Ramnath. Lyrics for the songs were penned by Vivek, Karthik Netha, Paal Dabba, and Sri Ganesh.

Produced by Arun Viswa under the Shanthi Talkies banner, the film opened to positive reviews upon its theatrical release. With its digital premiere approaching, audiences who missed it in theaters will soon have the opportunity to catch 3BHK from the comfort of their homes.
