Ajith Kumar Opens Up About Balancing Films And Racing Ahead Of 24H Dubai: ‘No Films Until The Season Ends'

Ajith Kumar No Films Until Racing Season Ends

Ajith Kumar Focuses On Racing, Takes Break from Films: Ajith Kumar, celebrated actor and motorsport racer, is currently in Dubai pursuing his passion for racing. The star is participating in the prestigious 24-Hour Race 2025, taking place from January 10 to 12. In a recent interview with an international news outlet, Ajith revealed a significant shift in his priorities, highlighting his dedication to motorsport over the coming months.

Ajith, who is also the owner of a professional racing team, shared how he is planning to balance his dual passions-acting and racing. However, as he takes on a more active role in team management, he plans to focus exclusively on motorsport for the time being. "Until the racing season concludes, I won't be committing to any film projects," he stated. The actor clarified that he intends to take on new acting assignments only between October and March, aligning with the off-season in racing.

When asked about production house clauses that might restrict his racing activities, Ajith firmly responded, "I don't need to be told what to do and what not to do. For now, as I plan to pursue more sports, not just as a driver but also as a team owner, I won't be signing any films until the racing season is over. Probably between October and March, before the next racing season commences, I will take on film projects so that no one is concerned, and I can be fully focused when I race."

Ajith's dedication to motorsport comes amid intense preparations for the upcoming race. His team, Ajith Kumar Racing, features skilled drivers Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod, with Duffieux also serving as team manager. During a recent endurance training session, Ajith encountered a minor crash but emerged unscathed, reaffirming his commitment to the demanding sport. Each driver in the 24-hour race is required to drive for six hours, and Ajith is leaving no stone unturned in his preparation.

Ajith's Upcoming Films

Ajith's upcoming film, Good Bad Ugly directed by Adhik Ravichandran, is scheduled for release in theaters on April 10. Meanwhile, his much-anticipated film Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, has been delayed from its original Pongal release date, with a new release schedule yet to be announced.
