Chennai City Gangsters Now On OTT: The Tamil comedy heist film Chennai City Gangsters, which had its theatrical release on June 20, 2025, has now made its digital debut. The film is currently available for streaming on Tentkotta, giving audiences who missed its run in cinemas a chance to catch up with the quirky crime caper from the comfort of their homes.

Directed by debutant duo Vikram Rajeshwar and Arun Keshav, Chennai City Gangsters was produced by Bobby Balachandran under the BTG Universal banner. The film stars Vaibhav, Athulya Ravi, and Manikandan Rajesh in lead roles and features a large ensemble cast that includes Anandaraj, Livingston, Rajendran, John Vijay, Redin Kingsley, Ilavarasu, and Bala Saravanan, among others.

Chennai City Gangsters: A Comedy Heist With Unexpected Twists

The story revolves around Paandi (Vaibhav) and Poochi (Manikandan Rajesh), two men who lose a substantial amount of money entrusted to them. In an effort to recover from their mistake, they team up with a group of eccentric former criminals to carry out a bank heist. The plan, however, takes several unpredictable turns, blending situational comedy with the chaos of a robbery gone offbeat.

Athulya Ravi plays Jenny, while other characters such as Split Soosai (Anandaraj), Memory Dass (Rajendran), Damar Lal (John Vijay), and Manda Kolaaru (Redin Kingsley) add layers of humor and unpredictability to the narrative. The film also marks a notable collaboration between actor Vaibhav and his brother Sunil Reddy, who appears in a supporting role as Kudi Kumar.

Behind the camera, Chennai City Gangsters features music by D. Imman, cinematography by Tijo Tomy, and editing by Suresh A. Prasad. Arun Shankar Durai served as art director, while stunts were choreographed by Don Ashok. The film's production was overseen by Dr. Manoj Beno, who also served as Head of Strategy.

Announced in October 2023, the project was wrapped up by April 2024 after filming largely in and around Chennai. Director Vikram Rajeshwar, who previously worked in advertising, is the son of noted filmmaker and screenwriter K. Rajeshwar.

With its OTT release, Chennai City Gangsters is now accessible to a wider audience. The film is now available for streaming on Tentkotta.
