Coolie: Chikitu Music Video Release Date And Time Revealed; Rajinikanth Movie's Song Set To Drop Soon

Coolie Chikitu Music Video Release: The makers of Coolie, the highly anticipated Tamil action thriller starring Rajinikanth, have officially announced the release date and time for the film's first music video. Titled "Chikitu," the song will be released on June 25 at 6 PM, as confirmed by Sun Pictures on their official social media handles.

In a post shared today, the production house wrote, "Time to #GetChikitufied😎 #Chikitu Music Video drops on June 25th at 6 PM 🕺🏼." The announcement was accompanied by a promotional video featuring composer Anirudh Ravichander and choreographer Sandy, offering a brief glimpse into the behind-the-scenes energy of the upcoming track.

This is not the first time "Chikitu" has been teased to the audience. A 59-second glimpse, referred to as "Chikitu Vibe," was released back on December 12, 2024, coinciding with superstar Rajinikanth's 74th birthday. That early preview had generated significant buzz, with fans curious to see how the track would feature in the film's narrative and whether it would mark a major moment for Rajinikanth's character.

Rajinikanth's 171st Film, Coolie, Gears Up For Global Release

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, Coolie brings together a high-profile ensemble cast that includes Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Junior MGR, Reba Monica John, Monisha Blessy, and Kaali Venkat. Cameo appearances by Pooja Hegde and Aamir Khan have also been confirmed.

Marking Rajinikanth's 171st outing as a lead actor, the film was first announced in September 2023 under the tentative title 'Thalaivar 171'. The title was later revealed as Coolie in April 2024. Filming began in July 2024 and took place across various locations, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, and Bangkok, wrapping up by mid-March 2025.

Featuring music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, visuals captured by cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, and editing by Philomin Raj, Coolie is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2025, with screenings planned in both standard and IMAX formats. The film will also be released in dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
