Coolie Release Postponed? Superstar Rajinikanth's exciting and highly-awaited collaboration with maverick filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj sparked never-seen-before excitement among fans of the actor, director, and Kollywood movie buffs in general. Titled 'Coolie,' the movie has its music by Anirudh Ravichander. The movie is currently in the production phase and is one of the biggest and prestigious multistarrer film which features stars from Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam industries.

Rajinikanth's Coolie movie was announced as 'Thalaivar 171' in September of 2023. The title was announced in April 2024 and the unit shot in locations around Hyderabad, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, and Bangkok. The movie marks the first collaboration of Rajinikanth with Lokesh Kanagaraj, who gave blockbusters and industry hits with Kamal Haasan and Thalapathy Vijay earlier.

Driven by the past, the movie Coolie charts the vengeful journey of the protagonist. The ups and downs of his vendetta and his existence is all about Coolie.

Coolie Release Postponed?

The actual release date of superstar Rajinikanth's hyped actioner Coolie is first slated for a summer release in 2025. Going by the information that is coming from the inside sources of Kollywood, the filmmaker is considering postponement of the movie. If their move is true, instead of summer, Coolie movie will release in August, reportedly.

Coolie Cast & Crew

The action-thriller stars superstar Rajinikanth as Deva, Nagarjuna Akkineni as Simon, Upendra as Kaleesha, Sathyaraj as Rajasekhar, Shruti Haasan as Preethi, Soubin Shahir as Dayal, Kishore Kumar G, Reba Monica John, Mahendran, and S Sadashivam among others in pivotal roles. Aamir Khan and Sivakarthikeyan are also part of the film as cameos, reportedly.

The movie was co-written by Chandhru Anbazhagan along with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the film's music and score, promising another chartbuster in his collaboration with Loki and Rajinikanth. Girish Gangadharan is cranking the camera and Philomin Raj is the editor. Kalanithi Maran is producing the movie under his Sun Pictures banners.
