The film, starring Santhanam, Selvaraghavan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Geethika Tiwary, hit theaters on May 16, 2025, marking the fourth installment in the popular Dhilluku Dhuddu series.
The film opened to a solid ₹3 crore on its first Friday, followed by steady collections over the weekend, with ₹3.1 crore on Saturday and ₹3.2 crore on Sunday. The start of the week saw a decline in numbers, as expected, with Monday contributing ₹1.4 crore and early Tuesday estimates around ₹1 crore. These figures bring the cumulative total to ₹11.70 crore India net across five days.
Devil's Double Next Level: A Meta Horror-Comedy
Devil's Double Next Level centers around Krishnamoorty, a blunt YouTube film critic who is invited to a private screening by a mysterious filmmaker. During the screening, Krishnamoorty and his family become trapped inside the movie itself, navigating a haunted setting filled with supernatural challenges. The film explores themes around film criticism and the impact it can have on creators, wrapped in a mix of horror, comedy, and meta-humor.
The movie features a strong technical crew with Dipak Kumar Padhy as the director of photography, ofRO providing the music, and editing by Barath Vikraman.
