Devil's Double Next Level Box Office Collection Day 5: Santhanam has firmly established himself as one of Tamil cinema's most beloved stars, and his latest release, Devil's Double Next Level, is proof of his enduring popularity. Following the success of Madha Gaja Raja earlier this year, the actor is back in the spotlight with this highly anticipated horror-comedy Devil's Double Next Level.
Directed by S. Prem Anand, Devil's Double Next Level (also known as DD Next Level) marks the fourth installment in the popular Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise. After witnessing a massive dip in numbers on the first Monday, Devil's Double Next Level saw another dip on the first Tuesday (day 5). According to a report published in Sacnilk, Devil's Double Next Level made a collection of Rs 99 lakhs on day 5 (first Tuesday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 11.69 crores
Devil's Double Next Level Lags Behind Maaman
As Devil's Double Next Level has been witnessing a box office clash with Soori's Maaman, it has failed to beat the latter despite a good start. While Devil's Double Next Level minted Rs 99 lakhs on day 5 (first Tuesday), it has been lagging behind Maaman with a huge gap as the latter minted Rs 1.81 crores on day 5 (first Tuesday).
Meanwhile, Devil's Double Next Level had sparked a controversy due to devotional track in the film following which several political leaders demanded its removal along with a heavy compensation. According to India Today, BJP leader Bhanuprakash Reddy, who is also a board member of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), has taken strong offence to the remix and demanded a Rs 100 crore in compensation if the song is not removed.
