Devil's Double Next Level X Review: Tamil filmgoers witnessed the theatrical release of Devil's Double Next Level today, May 16, 2025, as the latest entry in the popular Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise made its way to cinema screens across the state. The horror-comedy, fronted by Santhanam, marks the fourth installment in the series and follows the 2023 film DD Returns.

With the film now out, social media reactions-particularly on X (formerly Twitter)-have started to emerge, offering a glimpse into audience responses. While early viewers are sharing first impressions, more detailed takes are expected to appear as the weekend progresses. The promotional campaign for DD Next Level had set expectations for a genre-blending narrative, and audiences are now starting to share their thoughts on the film.

Devil's Double Next Level: A Comic Horror with a Meta Twist

Directed and written by S. Prem Anand, Devil's Double Next Level is produced under the banners of The Show People and Niharika Entertainment, with actor Arya presenting the film. The latest chapter introduces a new central character-a sharp-tongued film critic, played by Santhanam, who becomes trapped inside a horror film similar to the ones he routinely mocks.

The plot unfolds in a haunted realm where a disgruntled filmmaker's ghost takes charge, forcing the protagonist to navigate supernatural threats, decode mysterious clues, and face his own cynicism. This premise blends horror and humor while referencing common genre tropes.

Alongside Santhanam, the cast includes Geethika Tiwary, Selvaraghavan, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in key roles. The supporting lineup features Nizhalgal Ravi, Kasthuri, Redin Kingsley, Yashika Anand, Motta Rajendran, and Maran.

The film's technical crew includes Dipak Kumar Padhy as the cinematographer, editor Barath Vikraman, and ofRO as the music composer. Visual effects were handled by R. Harihara Suthan of Lorven Studios, with A.R. Mohan in charge of art direction. Stunt choreography was led by Silva and Hari Dinesh, while Kalyan handled the film's dance sequences.
