Dragon Box Office Collection: The Tamil coming-of-age comedy-drama Dragon, written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, has taken the box office by storm. AGS Entertainment produced the film, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan, Anupama Parameswaran, and Kayadu Lohar in lead roles, alongside Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, K. S. Ravikumar, and George Maryan in key supporting roles. Released worldwide on February 21, 2025, Dragon opened to positive reviews and went on to gross approximately ₹150 crore (US$17 million), making it the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year so far.

Dragon Premise

A once-promising student, Ragavan transforms into the rebellious "Dragon" after heartbreak, accumulating arrears in college. Through deception, he lands a high-paying job and luxury lifestyle, but a past mistake forces him to confront his integrity. As his lies unravel, Dragon must choose between success built on fraud and redemption through honesty, leading to a life-altering decision.

Dragon Cast and Crew

Dragon features Pradeep Ranganathan as D. Ragavan, also known as "Dragon," alongside Anupama Parameswaran as Keerthi and Kayadu Lohar as Pallavi Parasuram, with her voice dubbed by Savitha Radhakrishnan. The cast includes Mysskin as S. Mayilvahanan, Gautham Vasudev Menon as Vale Kumar, K. S. Ravikumar as Parasuram, and George Maryan as Dhanapal. Indumathy Manikandan portrays Chitra Dhanapal, with Vinodhini Vaidyanathan dubbing her voice.

Supporting roles are played by VJ Siddhu as Anbu, Harshath Khan as Vetri "Kutty Dragon," P. L. Thenappan as Thenappan, and Fatman Ravinder as M. S. Rajesh. The film also features Apollo Ravi as a college staff member, Joe Michael Praveen as a matrimonial office clerk, Whatsapp Mani as Paambu, Ramesh Narayanan as Karups, Lakshman Tekumudi as Bandi, and Rohith Muralidharan as Venkat. Sujatha Babu appears as Pallavi's mother, while Aruljothi plays a co-worker with a crush on Ragavan.

Dragon is a film written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh under the AGS Entertainment banner. Archana Kalpathi served as the creative producer, with Aishwarya Kalpathi as the associate creative producer and S.M. Venkat Manickam as the executive producer. The film's music is composed by Leon James, with cinematography by Niketh Bommi and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav. V. The story was developed by Marimuthu and Pradeep Ranganathan, with the screenplay and dialogues by Marimuthu.
