Dragon Box Office Collection: The Tamil coming-of-age comedy-drama Dragon premiered in theaters on February 21, 2025. Marking Ashwath Marimuthu's second directorial venture, the film is produced by AGS Entertainment. Dragon stars Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, with Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, George Maryan, K. S. Ravikumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mysskin in supporting roles.
According to box office tracker BoxOffice Tamil, Dragon had a strong opening weekend at the Tamil Nadu box office, grossing over ₹25 crores in just three days. The film earned ₹5.70 crore on Day 1, ₹8.90 crore on Day 2, and saw a further surge on Day 3 with ₹10.50 crore, bringing its total gross to ₹25.10 crore. The approximate share stands at ₹12 crore. With advance bookings for Monday looking promising, Dragon continues its impressive theatrical run.
Dragon Premise
Ragavan, once an outstanding student, undergoes a dramatic transformation after a heartbreak, embracing the rebellious identity of Dragon. His pursuit of success through deception secures him a lucrative job and an extravagant lifestyle. However, when his past catches up with him, he is forced to face the consequences of his actions and seek redemption.
Dragon Cast and Crew
Dragon boasts a stellar ensemble cast, headlined by Pradeep Ranganathan, with KS Ravi Kumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mysskin playing pivotal roles. The film also features VJ Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mariam George, Indhumathy Manigandan, Thenappan, and several others, contributing to its rich and diverse lineup.
Written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, Dragon is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh under AGS Entertainment. The film's music is composed by Leon James, with Niketh Bommi handling cinematography and Pradeep E Ragav overseeing editing. Archana Kalpathi served as the creative producer, with Aishwarya Kalpathi as the associate creative producer. Action sequences were choreographed by Vicky and Dilip Subbarayan, while JD took charge of the dance choreography. The film also features an extensive technical team, including production designer V. Selva Kumar, sound designer Sync Cinema, and PRO Nikil Murukan.
