According to film industry trackers Ramesh Bala and Sreedhar Pillai, Dragon has officially entered the $1 million club in North America, making it the first Kollywood film of 2025 to achieve this feat. This milestone is particularly significant as the Tamil film, which does not feature a superstar, has managed to cross the coveted $1 million mark in the U.S., showcasing its strong box office appeal and audience reception.
Dragon Premise
Once a promising student, Ragavan turns into the rebellious "Dragon" after heartbreak, amassing 48 arrears in college. In pursuit of success, he forges a degree and secures a high-paying job, only for his past to catch up with him. Forced to clear his backlogs, Dragon navigates deception, redemption, and life-altering choices, leading to an inspiring journey of self-discovery.
Dragon Cast and Crew
Pradeep Ranganathan leads the cast of Dragon, alongside an impressive ensemble that includes KS Ravi Kumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, VJ Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mariam George, Indhumathy Manigandan, Thenappan, and more.
Helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu as writer and director, Dragon is backed by AGS Entertainment, with Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, and Kalpathi S. Suresh serving as producers. Archana Kalpathi takes on the role of creative producer, while Aishwarya Kalpathi joins as the associate creative producer. The film features music by Leon James, cinematography by Niketh Bommi, and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav. V. Selva Kumar oversees production design, with Vicky & Dilip Subbarayan orchestrating the action sequences and JD handling the choreography. Ashwath Marimuthu and Pradeep Ranganathan co-wrote the story, with Ashwath also overseeing the screenplay and dialogues.
The technical crew includes costume designers Dinesh Manoharan and Praveen Raja, publicity designer Kabilan, sound mix by M.R. Rajakrishnan, and sound design by Sync Cinema. Suresh Ravi serves as the colorist.
