According to film industry tracker Movies Singapore, Dragon has stormed the box office, grossing over ₹140 crores worldwide and surpassing the entire global earnings of Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi. With this feat, director-actor Pradeep Ranganathan has shattered the notion of February being a dull month for the film industry. As the film gears up to cross the ₹150 crore milestone, its resounding success reaffirms that content and entertainment remain the ultimate driving forces at the box office.
Dragon Premise
Once a bright student, Ragavan's life takes a drastic turn after heartbreak, leading him to adopt the rebellious persona of "Dragon." Struggling through college with 48 arrears, he fakes his way into a high-paying job and luxurious life. But when his past catches up, Dragon must make a choice-continue the lie or seek redemption.
Dragon Cast and Crew
Dragon features Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role as Ragavan "Dragon" Dhanapal, with Kayadu Lohar portraying Pallavi Parasuram and Anupama Parameswaran as Keerthi Deepak. The cast includes Mysskin as Mayilvahanan, Gautham Vasudev Menon as Vale Kumar, and K. S. Ravikumar as Parasuram. Supporting roles are played by George Maryan, Indumathy Manikandan, VJ Siddhu, and Harshath Khan. The film also features cameo appearances by Ivana, Sneha, director Ashwath Marimuthu, and choreographer Sandy Master.
Dragon is written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu under the banner of AGS Entertainment, produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh. Leon James composed the music, with cinematography by Niketh Bommi and editing by Pradeep E Ragav. The film's screenplay and dialogues were penned by Ashwath Marimuthu, while V. Selva Kumar handled production design. Action sequences were coordinated by Vicky and Dilip Subbarayan, and choreography was done by JD. The film's sound design was managed by Sync Cinema, with sound mixing by M.R. Rajakrishnan. AGS Marketing Team handled promotions, and the audio rights were acquired by Think Music.
