Dragon Box Office Collection: The Tamil coming-of-age comedy-drama Dragon, helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu, had its worldwide premiere on February 21, 2025, under the AGS Entertainment banner.

Pradeep Ranganathan's Dragon has achieved a major milestone, crossing the ₹100 crore mark worldwide within just 10 days of its release. Producer Archana Kalpathi took to social media to celebrate the film's success, writing, "What a Kathara Kathara Blockbuster! #Dragon crosses 100 Cr Worldwide in just 10 Days! Huge thanks to our amazing audience for all the love!" (sic).
Director Ashwath Marimuthu also expressed his gratitude, thanking fans while acknowledging the challenges faced before the film's release. "Dear audience, 100 crore thanks for all the love you have given my team #dragon Personally when some tried to break my confidence before release 'Nanga irukom pathukalam' sonna unga elarukum nandri will correct the mistakes in this film and give my next is all I can promise" (sic).
Dragon Premise
Once a bright student, Ragavan's heartbreak transforms him into the defiant "Dragon," leaving him with 48 arrears in college. In a bid to rebuild his life, he forges a degree and lands a lucrative job, only for his past to catch up with him. As he battles to clear his backlogs, Dragon embarks on a journey filled with deception, redemption, and profound choices, ultimately leading to self-discovery.

Pradeep Ranganathan headlines Dragon, supported by a stellar ensemble cast featuring KS Ravi Kumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, VJ Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mariam George, Indhumathy Manigandan, Thenappan, and more.
Directed and written by Ashwath Marimuthu, the film was backed by AGS Entertainment, with Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, and Kalpathi S. Suresh producing the project. Archana Kalpathi served as the creative producer, while Aishwarya Kalpathi took on the role of associate creative producer. The film's music was composed by Leon James, with Niketh Bommi handling cinematography and Pradeep E. Ragav overseeing editing. V. Selva Kumar led the production design, while action sequences were choreographed by Vicky & Dilip Subbarayan, and JD handled dance choreography. The story was co-written by Ashwath Marimuthu and Pradeep Ranganathan, with Ashwath also penning the screenplay and dialogues.
The technical team included costume designers Dinesh Manoharan and Praveen Raja, publicity designer Kabilan, sound mix by M.R. Rajakrishnan, and sound design by Sync Cinema. Suresh Ravi served as the colorist. The direction department consisted of co-director Ramesh Narayanan, chief associate director Vignesh Ravi, and associate directors Meenakshi Sundar, Ajay Gurunathan, and Vichu, assisted by Prabhu Devan, Gowtham V, and Chanakkiyan R. Aakash Balaji was the still photographer, while makeup was handled by Kuppusamy, with costumes by Prasad.
The production team included executive producers S.M. Venkat Manickam, D. Saravana Kumar, Sakthivel, and Veera Kumar. CG was executed by D'Note, with DI by Mango Post. Hemanth Acharya served as associate cinematographer/gaffer, assisted by Yogeshwar Rao Kotapati as 1st AC/Focus, alongside cinematographers Govind Rao P, Vijay, and Prasanna. Editing support was provided by associate editor Selvakarthick Murugan and assistant editors Venkatesh and Kavimani. The art team comprised D. Dinesh Kumar and V.
