Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film also marks the Tamil debut of Telugu-based banner Mythri Movie Makers. Initially announced in late 2023 under the working title AK63-referring to Ajith's 63rd lead role-the official title was unveiled in March 2024.

Good Bad Ugly Synopsis

After spending nearly twenty years behind bars, a former crime boss is released with hopes of reuniting with his estranged family and living a peaceful life. But his return takes a dark turn when his son becomes involved in a criminal case overseas. As he digs deeper to uncover the truth and shield his family, buried secrets emerge and old enemies return. Forced to confront the past he tried to escape, he finds himself entangled once again in a web of deception, shifting identities, and dangerous consequences.

Good Bad Ugly Production

Principal photography for Good Bad Ugly commenced in May 2024, with most of the filming carried out in Hyderabad and key portions shot in Spain. The shoot concluded by early December. The film was released in India and internationally in both standard and EPIQ formats.

Good Bad Ugly Cast

Ajith Kumar headlines Good Bad Ugly as AK, also known as "Red Dragon," alongside Trisha Krishnan as Ramya, voiced by Krithika Nelson. Arjun Das takes on dual roles as Johnny and Jammy. The ensemble cast includes Prabhu (Jayaprakash), Prasanna (Jaeger), and Sunil as Baby Tyson (voiced by P. Ravi Shankar). Jackie Shroff portrays Babel, while Yogi Babu appears as Babu Yogi. Redin Kingsley and Rahul Dev play convicts, and Shine Tom Chacko is seen as Shanmuga "Simon." Tinnu Anand features as Mastaan Bhai, with B. S. Avinash, Pradeep Kabra, and Harry Josh playing gangsters. Darkkey Nagaraja plays himself. Priya Prakash Varrier is cast as Nithya, Karthikeya Dev as Vihaan AK, Sayaji Shinde as IG of Prisons Alok Shukla, Raghu Ram as Zakaba, and Usha Uthup as Chief Justice Meera Patnayak. Simran makes a cameo appearance as Priya, and Ajith Nambiar also joins the ensemble.

Good Bad Ugly Crew

Good Bad Ugly was produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, with Cherry as CEO and Dinesh Narasimhan as the Chief Executive Producer. The film was written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran, featuring music by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Cinematography was handled by Abinandhan Ramanujam, while Vijay Velukutty took charge of editing, including the trailer. G M Sekhar served as the Production Designer, and styling was managed by Anu Vardhan and Rajesh Kamarsu.

Public relations were overseen by Suresh Chandra and Vamsi Shekar (Telugu), with marketing support from First Show and D'one (Tamil). Suren led the sound design, G Anand Kumar was responsible for still photography, and ADFX Studio created the publicity designs. Music supervision was by Jehovahson Alghar, VFX was managed by Narendra Logisa, and DI was completed at Annapurna Studios with Ashwath S as the colorist. Boppanna Satyanarayana (Satya) supervised post-production visuals.

The direction team included co-directors Ravi Kandasamy and Harish Manikandan, associate directors K Raja and V G Balasubramanian, and assistant directors S Vijai Prabu and Rishabh Ravindhar. The DOP team featured Arvi, Arun Damodaran, Jackson, and Ajay, while the editing team comprised S.A. Nagarjun, Rajesh M, Hariharan V, and Danachezhian S.
