Good Bad Ugly Now On OTT: Ajith Kumar's latest Tamil action-comedy, Good Bad Ugly (GBU), directed by Adhik Ravichandran, has made its way to streaming. The film, which hit theaters on April 10, 2025, is now available to stream on Netflix starting today. It can be viewed in Tamil and dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The film marks a significant moment for production house Mythri Movie Makers, as Good Bad Ugly is their first foray into Tamil cinema. Presented by T-Series, the project was initially announced under the working title AK63-a reference to the fact that it is Ajith Kumar's 63rd film as the lead.

GBU: Filmed Across Locations with a Large Cast

Principal photography began in May 2024, with the initial shooting schedule taking place in Hyderabad. Additional portions were filmed in Spain, giving the film an international backdrop for several of its key sequences. The production reportedly wrapped in early December 2024.

Ajith Kumar plays the central character, AK, a former gangster attempting to move on from a violent past. The story picks up as AK, long removed from his criminal life, attempts to reunite with his estranged wife Ramya and their son Vihaan in Spain. However, the reunion takes a dark turn when Vihaan becomes embroiled in a legal crisis, and AK is forced to confront old enemies and buried secrets.

The ensemble cast includes Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Jackie Shroff, Shine Tom Chacko, Prabhu, Prasanna, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Tinnu Anand, B. S. Avinash, and Raghu Ram. Simran, Sayaji Shinde, Rahul Dev, and Yogi Babu appear in supporting roles, with singer Usha Uthup also playing a character in the ensemble.

Technical Team Behind the Film

The music for Good Bad Ugly was composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, who also handled the background score. Cinematography was by Abinandhan Ramanujam, while Vijay Velukutty oversaw editing. G M Sekhar served as the production designer, and the action sequences were choreographed by Supreme Sundar and Kaloian Vodenicharov.

The visual effects were overseen by Narendra Logisa, while post-production work was carried out at Annapurna Studios. Ashwath S worked as the colorist, and Boppanna Satyanarayana supervised post-production visuals. Sound design was done by Suren, and the trailer edit was managed by editor Vijay Velukutty.

Costume design was led by Anu Vardhan and Rajesh Kamarsu. The still photography was handled by G Anand Kumar, and publicity design was created by ADFX Studio. Music supervision came from Jehovahson Alghar.

The direction department included co-directors Ravi Kandasamy and Harish Manikandan, with associate directors K Raja and V G Balasubramanian. Assistant directors included S Vijai Prabu and Rishabh Ravindhar.

Plot Outline

A former crime boss seeks to reconnect with his estranged family after years behind bars. When he travels abroad to visit his wife and son, the reunion is threatened by attacks linked to his past. As his son becomes entangled in a serious legal case, the father delves into a dangerous underworld to uncover the truth. What follows is a tense and action-filled journey through hidden alliances, personal reckonings, and the long shadows cast by old enemies.

Following its theatrical run, Good Bad Ugly is now available to a broader audience on Netflix. The film is expected to attract viewers who missed it in theaters, especially given the strong interest in Ajith Kumar's projects and the reach of multi-language streaming availability.
