Good Bad Ugly Occupancy Day 1: Ajith Kumar's film Good Bad Ugly was compared to his other 2025 Tamil release, Vidaamuyarchi. There was speculation about whether Good Bad Ugly would be able to surpass Vidaamuyarchi's box office collection. As the box office report was released, it was revealed that Good Bad Ugly had successfully surpassed Vidaamuyarchi's opening day collection by Rs. 2.50 crore. As per Sacnilk's report, Good Bad Ugly saw 73.14% footfalls in the morning shows. There was further a slight rise in afternoon shows with Good Bad Ugly seeing 81.14% footfalls. But there was a significant fall in the evening shows with only 74.80% footfalls. The night saw a whopping rise with 88.81% footfalls. Indeed the overall occupancy of Good Bad Ugly on Day 1 was 79.47%. Good Bad Ugly tops the list of having the highest Day 1 occupancy in 2025.

Good Bad Ugly was seen beating Vidaamuyarchi in not only box office numbers but footfalls as well on the opening day. Vidaamuyarchi saw 58.81% footfalls in the morning shows, 60.27% footfalls in the afternoon shows, 54.79% in the evening shows while 54.79% in the night shows. Vidaamuyarchi therefore had a total of only 61.23% occupancy on Day 1. Indeed Good Bad Ugly is leading by around 30%.
