Idly Kadai New Release Date Buzz: Dhanush is someone who wastes no time. With back-to-back films as a protagonist and director, the Kollywood superstar who delivered Nilavakku Enmel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK) to a decent response as his directorial, is back in the entertainment headlines. His fourth directorial, titled Idly Kadai, is a drama starring Dhanush, Nithya Menen, and Arun Vijay in key roles. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on April 10 this year but the latest update reveals that the movie's release was pushed further.

Idly Kadai New Release Date

Dhanush reportedly wanted to avoid clash with Ajith's Good Bad Ugly and also has a decent part of shooting left. To take things slow and ensure there is no compromise on the quality, Dhanush decided to postpone Idly Kadai movie's release. Now, Idly Kadai will likely hit the screens in September or October. An official statement will be released shortly.

Idly Kadai Cast & Crew

The movie has Dhanush, Arun Vijay, Nithya Menen, Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj, Samuthirakani, and Rajkiran among others in key roles. The filming is taking place across different locations in and around the Theni district, Tamil Nadu. The movie marks the eighth collaboration between GV Prakash Kumar and Dhanush.

Written by Dhanush himself, the movie is also partly produced by his home banner Wunderbar Films in association with Dawn Pictures. G.V. Prakash Kumar is composing the film's music and score. Kiran Koushik is cranking the camera while Prasanna GK is working as its editor. Baba Bhaskar is working as the choreographer of the film.

In addition to Idly Kadai, Dhanush will be seen in Sekhar Kammula's trilingual film titled 'Kuberaa' movie in which he acted along with Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna. Kuberaa will hit the screens on June 20, 2025. His another Bollywood film titled 'Tere Ishk Mein' is currently on the sets.
