Jana Nayagan Overseas Rights Sold For Record 75 Crore

Jana Nayagan Overseas Rights: The highly anticipated film Jana Nayagan, starring Tamil superstar Vijay and directed by H. Vinoth, has reportedly made a record-breaking sale of its overseas distribution rights. According to a report by Asianet News Tamil, the overseas rights of the film have been sold for a staggering ₹75 crore, marking a milestone in Tamil cinema. This is reportedly the highest price ever paid for the overseas rights of a Tamil film, surpassing the ₹53 crore deal for Vijay's previous film, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT).

The excitement surrounding Jana Nayagan continues to grow as fans eagerly await the film's release, especially considering this will be Vijay's final project before stepping away from cinema to focus on his political ambitions. In February 2024, Vijay announced the formation of the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam party, marking a shift in his career from acting to politics. With this, the stakes for Jana Nayagan have risen, making it one of the most awaited films of 2025.

Jana Nayagan Cast And Crew

Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is a high-budget production by KVN Productions. The film stars Vijay alongside actress Pooja Hegde, who reunites with the actor for their second collaboration after Beast. Bollywood actor Bobby Deol plays the antagonist, which has further fueled interest in the project. The film's ensemble cast also reportedly includes prominent names such as Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, and Teejay Arunasalam.

The film's technical team is equally impressive. Anirudh Ravichander composes the music, while Sathyan Sooryan handles the cinematography. The editing is done by Pradeep E. Raghav, and the action sequences are choreographed by ANL Arasu.

Initially slated for a theatrical release in October 2025, the film's release has now been rescheduled to coincide with the upcoming Pongal festival 2026, according to reports. The team is working around the clock to complete the shooting, which has reportedly been ongoing for several months.

If reports are accurate, the sale of the overseas rights of Jana Nayagan for ₹75 crore not only highlights Vijay's star power but also reflects the immense anticipation surrounding the film. With the growing buzz and Vijay's dedicated fanbase, Jana Nayagan is expected to make a significant impact in both domestic and international markets.
