Jinn - The Pet OTT Release: The Tamil fantasy film Jinn - The Pet, which had its theatrical release on May 30, 2025, is now gearing up for its digital premiere. The movie will be available for streaming from June 20 on the Sun NXT platform.

Written, directed, and produced by T.R. Bala, the film marks his debut as a filmmaker. Produced under the Fairy Tale Pictures banner in collaboration with Anil Kumar Reddy's AR Touring Talkies, the film brings together a mix of fantasy, comedy, horror, and romance. Jinn - The Pet features Mugen Rao and Bhavya Trikha in lead roles, with a supporting cast that includes Radha Ravi, Vadivukkarasi, Nizhalgal Ravi, Bala Saravanan, Imman Annachi, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, George Vijay, and Master Shakti.

Jinn: A Mythical Creature and the Chaos That Follows

The plot follows a family that comes into possession of a mythical creature called Jinn, under the agreement of three strict rules. However, when these conditions are violated, the situation spirals out of control. The film explores how the protagonist attempts to deal with the chaos that ensues, weaving together elements of suspense, emotion, and lightheartedness.

Before stepping into feature filmmaking, T.R. Bala had collaborated with Mugen Rao for the music video "Othai Thamarai." For Jinn - The Pet, the music has been composed by the duo Vivek-Mervin. The film's soundtrack was gradually introduced through singles over the past year, starting with "Kuttyma" in November 2023, followed by "Konjam Pakkam Vaa" in March 2024, "Bore Aana Vaazhka" in July 2024, and "LaLaLa" in September 2024. The official trailer was released on May 21, shortly before the film's theatrical debut.

The film's technical team includes cinematographer Arjun Raja, editor Deepak, art director V.S. Dineshkumar, and fight master 'Phantom' Pradeep. The lyrics have been penned by Viveka, Ku. Karthick, and Vishnu Edavan. Visual effects were handled by Effects & Logics, with sound design by T. Udhayakumar and colour grading by Shanmuga Pandian M.
