Kaantha OTT Release Time And Platform: Dulquer Salmaan's period crime thriller Kaantha, which released in theaters worldwide on November 14, 2025, is set to begin its digital streaming. The film, directed by Selvamani Selvaraj and co-written by Thamizh Prabha, is a fictionalized account inspired by the life of legendary actor M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar. It was jointly produced by Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati under their respective banners, Wayfarer Films and Spirit Media, with additional producers Prashanth Potluri and Jom Varghese also credited.

Set in 1950s Madras, Kaantha focuses on the dynamics between Ayya, a celebrated director, and T. K. Mahadevan, a film star whose career Ayya helped establish. The narrative gains momentum when Mahadevan changes the title of a female-centric film from Shaantha to Kaantha, aligning it with his own persona. Following this change, a murder occurs on the film's set, prompting an investigation led by Inspector Devaraj. Both Mahadevan and Ayya become central figures in the case, with the storyline unfolding around the tension between professional rivalry and the search for truth.
