Kaantha Premiere LIVE Updates: Is Dulquer Salmaan's Film Worth Watching? Critics Review Is OUT

Once again Dulquer proved why he is known for his acting prowess. The early reviews indicated that he has delivered a power-packed performance. Rajasekhar tweeted, " He should and must win National Awards for his incredible, intense and immaculate performance as the career-focused TK Mahadevan. The mirror scene in the intermission and climax tells talks volumes about his calibre. The way his characters he goes back to his self in the end tells you how strong his character is (sic)"

Film critic Rajasekhar posted a detailed review of Kaantha after watching the first half. "#Kaantha first half - amalgamation of powerhouse performances of @dulQuer , @BhagyashriBose and @thondankani . The mirror scene was yet another testimony for DQ, the towering performer. The ego clash between him and Kani provides an arresting drama whereas the attraction that evolves into romance between DQ and Bhagyashri offer us the juicy angle to the film. Bhagyashri is a revelation, sad that Telugu industry hasn’t fully used her potential before! Interestingly her debut film was supposed to be Kaantha. @jakes_bejoy brings in the modernity in the background score although the film is set in the black and white era, which is refreshing! #SelvamaniSelvaraj seems to have mixed a lot of real incidents of the black and white era in this fictitious work (sic)," he tweeted.
