Kaliyugam OTT Release: Dystopian Drama Kaliyugam, starring Shraddha Srinath and Kishore, is set to make its digital premiere on July 11, 2025 via SunNXT, the streaming platform announced this week. The film, shot as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and released theatrically on May 9, 2025, will now reach a wider audience following its OTT launch.

Written and directed by debutant Pramodh Sundar, Kaliyugam is a post-apocalyptic psychological thriller set in a bleak future. The Tamil version retains the title Kaliyugam, while the Telugu version is titled Kaliyugam 2064. The project is jointly produced by K.S. Ramakrishna and K. Ramcharan under the banners RK International and Prime Cinemas, with Siddharth Swayamboo serving as co-producer.

The announcement of the OTT release was shared on SunNXT's official social media handles, accompanied by a promotional line that captures the essence of the film's narrative: "When the world ends, who do you become? Hope, fear, and survival collide in a future gone dark. Kaliyugam - streaming from 11th July on SunNXT."

Dystopian Thriller Kaliyugam to Stream on SunNXT

Set in the year 2064, the story unfolds in a world stripped of essentials such as food, water, and stability. The remaining survivors navigate moral dilemmas, physical dangers, and psychological breakdowns in a fight to retain their humanity. The film follows characters portrayed by Shraddha Srinath and Kishore-Pari/Bhoomi and Sketch/Shakti, respectively-as they confront the harsh realities of a collapsed society.

The ensemble cast includes Iniyan Subramani, Mithun, David Santhosh, Kesavan, Harry, Asmal, Santhosh, Mani, Aarya Lekshmi, Moses, and Master Ronith. The cinematography is by K. Ramcharan, while editing is handled by Nimz. Dawn Vincent composed the music and sound design, with visual effects completed at CA Digital Studio and final coloring done at B2H Studios.

Production on Kaliyugam began in January 2021 in Chennai, with the final schedule taking place at a specially constructed set later that year. Post-production included CGI work completed in Norway, according to available production notes.

With its upcoming streaming debut, Kaliyugam will offer viewers a chance to engage with its dystopian themes from the comfort of their homes. The film will be available on SunNXT starting July 11.
