The film, which is reportedly written by Kamal Haasan himself, will be directed by the action duo Anbariv, with music composed by Jakes Bejoy. A recent post from the production house included photos of the team in discussion and confirmed key members of the technical crew: cinematography by Sunil KS, editing by Shemeer KM, production design by Vinesh Banglan, and publicity design by Tuney John. Nayakan Re-released

Kamal Haasan was last seen on screen in Thug Life, a Tamil gangster action drama directed by Mani Ratnam. Scheduled for a theatrical release during Pongal 2027, the project is being described as a landmark collaboration celebrating the long-standing friendship between the two actors. The announcement highlighted that the film is part of RKFI's 44th anniversary and brings together Rajinikanth's screen presence with Sundar C's direction, under the production of Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran.
