Kingston OTT Release Date: When & Where To Watch G. V. Prakash Kumar’s Fantasy Horror Adventure

Kingston OTT Release: With its OTT release just around the corner, Kingston is set to reach a wider audience after its theatrical run. The Tamil fantasy horror adventure marks the directorial debut of Kamal Prakash and is produced by G. V. Prakash Kumar, Bhavani Sre, and Umesh K. R. Bansal under the banners Parallel Universe Pictures and Zee Studios. G. V. Prakash also plays the lead role, and the supporting cast includes Divyabharathi, Elango Kumaravel, Sabumon Abdusamad, and Chetan.
Announced in October 2023 under the working title GV 25-signifying G. V. Prakash Kumar's 25th film as a lead-the official title, Kingston, was revealed shortly after. Filming began the same month. The music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, with cinematography by Gokul Benoy and editing by San Lokesh. The film was released in theaters on 7 March 2025.
Kingston is set to make its digital debut on ZEE5 on 13 April 2025. On the same day, the film will also have its world television premiere on Zee Tamil, marking a simultaneous release across streaming and broadcast platforms. In a recent X post, ZEE5 Tamil announced, "Tamil Cinema's Epic Adventure #Kingston World Premiere on OTT & TV on April 13th 12pm! Only on ZEE5 & ZEE Tamil. Stay Tuned!"
Kingston Storyline
In a coastal hamlet where fishing is banned due to a rumored curse, Kingston, a fisherman and handyman to a local smuggling kingpin, discovers he's unknowingly trafficking drugs. Determined to break free, he ventures alone into the forbidden sea, uncovering unsettling secrets hidden beneath the waves.
Kingston Cast
The cast of Kingston features G. V. Prakash Kumar in the role of Kingston "King," with Divyabharathi playing Divya and Chetan as Solomon. The ensemble also includes Nithin Sathya, Azhagam Perumal, Elango Kumaravel, Sabumon Abdusamad as Thomas, Shah Ra, Antony, Arunachaleswaran, Rajesh Balachandiran, and Ram Nishanth in supporting roles.
Kingston Crew
Kingston was written and directed by Kamal Prakash and produced by G. V. Prakash Kumar and Umesh K. R. Bansal under Zee Studios and Parallel Universe Pictures. The film's creative producers were Vinoth CJ and Dinesh Guna, with Venkat Arumugam serving as executive producer. G. V. Prakash Kumar also composed the music, with cinematography by Gokul Benoy and editing by San Lokesh. Art direction was by S. S. Moorthy, action choreography by Dhilip Subbarayan, and choreography by Kalyan and Baba Baskar. Costume design was credited to Poornima Ramasamy. Dialogues were written by Dhivek S Sekar, and lyrics by Yugabharathi, Arunraja Kamaraja, Karthik Netha, and Arivu. VFX was handled by Nxgen Media with supervision by V. Arun Raj. Sound mix was done by M. R. Rajakrishnan, and sound design by Sync Cinema. Colour grading was done by Prasath Somasekar of Knack Studios. Animation was provided by Akhil and Nevin.
Music production was supervised by Jehovahson Alghar, and post-production was overseen by Sakthi Balaji Krishnaraj. Publicity designs were created by Gopi Prasannaa, stills by E. Rajendran, makeup by P. Mariappan, prosthetics by Pradeep Vithura, and publicity stills by Prashun Prashanth. Subtitles were provided by Sajid Ali, and Yuvraaj handled publicity relations.
The direction team included Aakash Poojith, Yogeshwaran Asokkumar, Sushil Kumar, Kishore Sankar, M. P. Ezhumalai, Abhijith, U. B., Kanishkan Sundar, and Pari Tamilselvan.
