Written and directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film is produced and presented by SS Lalit Kumar, with Nayanthara as producer and L.K. Vishnu Kumar as co-producer, under the banners of Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio.

Set in the year 2040, the film features Pradeep Ranganathan, S. J. Suryah, and Krithi Shetty in lead roles, with an ensemble supporting cast that includes Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri G. Kishan, Shah Ra, Malavika, Mysskin, Anandaraj, and Sunil Reddy. The film blends elements of romance and science fiction, set in a futuristic setting.

Originally, Love Insurance Kompany was slated for an October 17, 2025, release, but the date was postponed to avoid clashing with Pradeep Ranganathan's other film, Dude. Seven Screen Studio described the decision as a strategic move to allow both films to perform independently at the box office, citing coordination challenges between the two production houses. The film is now scheduled to release in theaters on December 18, 2025.

After the rescheduling, reports suggested a possible delay since the film's online streaming and television broadcasting rights had not yet been sold.
