Maaman 12 Days Box Office Soori-Aishwarya Film Runs Steady

Maaman Box Office Collection: Maaman, the Tamil action drama headlined by Soori and directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj, has completed 12 days in theaters with a total India net collection of approximately ₹26.67 crore, according to estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk.

The film, which hit screens on May 16, 2025, opened with ₹1.75 crore on its first Friday. It picked up momentum over the weekend, collecting ₹2.5 crore on Saturday and ₹3.85 crore on Sunday. This strong initial trend pushed the film's first-week total to ₹16 crore.

In the second week, Maaman held relatively well. The second Friday saw a collection of ₹1.75 crore, nearly matching its opening day. Saturday saw another rise to ₹2.7 crore, followed by ₹3.5 crore on Sunday-indicative of consistent weekend interest from the audience. However, as is typical, weekday figures saw a dip. Monday earned an estimated ₹1.52 crore, while Tuesday added ₹1.2 crore to the tally.

Maaman: Action Drama Set in Trichy Explores Family and Relationship Dynamics

Starring Soori in a lead role shaped by his story concept, Maaman also features Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rajkiran, and Swasika among a wide ensemble cast. The film explores emotional themes through the lens of familial bonds. Set in Trichy, the narrative revolves around Inba (played by Soori), a devoted brother whose life revolves around his sister Girija and her son Laddu. The dynamics shift when Inba marries Rekha (Aishwarya Lekshmi), a doctor who admires his nurturing nature but struggles with the family's emotional entanglements.

The domestic drama, which includes moments of grief, conflict, and reconciliation, is told against a backdrop of everyday life, with the story gradually building towards a moment of healing and understanding.

Maaman marks the second consecutive collaboration between Soori and producer K. Kumar of Lark Studios, following their 2024 film Garudan. The technical crew includes cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, music composer Hesham Abdul Wahab, and editor Ganesh Siva.

Whether Maaman can sustain its momentum through the third week remains to be seen, but for now, the film has managed a respectable run across Tamil Nadu and other domestic territories.
