Maaman 5-Day Box Office Soori Film Grosses 11 9 Cr

Maaman Box Office Collection: Tamil action-drama Maaman, which hit theaters on May 16, 2025, has completed five days in cinemas and collected approximately ₹11.90 crore (India Net) at the domestic box office, as per early estimates. The film marks a new collaboration between actor Soori and Lark Studios after their 2024 release, Garudan.

Directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj, Maaman features Soori in the lead alongside Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rajkiran, Swasika, and Bala Saravanan. The story, credited to Soori himself, revolves around the emotional dynamics between a devoted uncle and his young nephew. Described as a family-oriented drama, the film explores themes of love, emotional bonds, and intergenerational relationships.

Maaman Collects ₹11.90 Crore in 5 Days

According to data from Sacnilk, Maaman opened on Friday with ₹1.75 crore. The film saw a rise over the weekend, collecting ₹2.5 crore on Saturday and peaking at ₹3.85 crore on Sunday. As expected, the collections dipped slightly on the weekdays, with Monday contributing ₹2.05 crore and Tuesday adding around ₹1.75 crore to its total, bringing the 5-day cumulative gross to ₹11.90 crore India net.

The film's release came amid a moderately competitive box office environment. While it started with limited screens, word-of-mouth and the family-friendly narrative helped generate footfalls, particularly over the weekend.

Maaman also benefits from a technically sound crew. Dinesh Purushothaman handled the cinematography, and the music was composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab. The editing has been done by Ganesh Siva, and the production design is led by G. Durai Raj. Choreography was handled by Baba Bhaskar, who also appears in the cast.
