Maaman Box Office Collection Day 2: The Tamil film industry witnessed the release of a much talked about action drama which has got everyone talking. We are talking about Maaman which is helmed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj. Written by Soori, the movie featured him in the lead along with Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rajkiran, Swasika and Bala Saravanan, Baba Bhaskar, Viji Chandrasekhar, Nikhila Sankar and Geetha Kailasam. The movie has managed to grab a lot of eyeballs for its impressive cast and intriguing trailer
To note, Maaman revolves around an emotional conflict between a young man and his maternal uncle, their strained relationship and the complexities of human relationships. Released on May 16, Maaman opened to decent reviews and left a mark on the audience with its heartwarming storyline. After recording an opening day collection of Rs 1.75 crores (day 1/ first Friday), Maaman saw a hike of over 68% in collections on the second day of release. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Maaman minted Rs 2.95 crores on day 2 (first Saturday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 4.7 crores
Maaman Beats Tourist Family On Day 2
With a collection of Rs 2.95 crores, Maaman has managed to beat Tourist Family on the second day of release. For the uninitiated, Tourist Family had minted Rs 1.7 crores on day 2
Meanwhile, talking about Maaman, Soori told India Today, "Maaman is a story that appeals to everyone. In fact, I dedicate the film to all the people I know. I did the film thinking of certain milestones. There are people that I know who are separated and if they get back with each other after watching this film, I'd feel achieved. If they get back, I will share the happiness with them."
