Maaman Box Office Collection Day 5: Maaman has been capturing attention for its emotional depth and stellar performances ever since it has hit the screens on May 16. Directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj and penned by actor Soori, who also plays the lead role in the film, Maaman is a compelling action-drama that also boasts an impressive ensemble, including Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rajkiran, Swasika, Bala Saravanan, and Baba Bhaskar, with supporting roles by Viji Chandrasekhar, Nikhila Sankar, and Geetha Kailasam.

The film's intriguing trailer and strong cast had already piqued interest, and now that it's in theatres, Maaman is living up to the hype. To note, Maaman explores the turbulent relationship between a young man and his maternal uncle, delving into family conflicts and the raw emotions that bind-and divide-them. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Maaman, which minted Rs 2.05 crores on day 4 (first Monday), saw another dip in numbers on day 5 (first Tuesday) wherein it earned Rs 1.81 crores taking the overall collections of the movie to Rs 11.96 crores

Maaman Fails To Beat Tourist Family On 1st Tuesday

Interestingly, Maaman has been facing comparisons with Devil's Double Next Level and Tourist Family. While it has managed to beat DD Next Level with a significant gap. It failed to beat Tourist Family which had minted Rs 2.5 crores on its first Tuesday.

On the other hand, with a collection of Rs 11.96 crores in 5 days, Maaman has managed to surpass the lifetime collection of Gangers (Rs 8.40 crores), starring Sundar in the lead, and became the 10th highest grossing Tamil film of 2025.

Meanwhile, talking about Maaman, Soori told India Today, "Maaman is a story that appeals to everyone. In fact, I dedicate the film to all the people I know. I did the film thinking of certain milestones. There are people that I know who are separated and if they get back with each other after watching this film, I'd feel achieved. If they get back, I will share the happiness with them."
