Maaman OTT Release Date: The Tamil family drama Maaman, which had its theatrical premiere on May 16, 2025, is now set for its digital debut. ZEE5 has officially announced that the film will be available for streaming on its platform starting August 8, 2025. Viewers who missed the theatrical run will now have the opportunity to catch the film from home.

Directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj and produced by K. Kumar under the Lark Studios banner, Maaman features Soori in the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast that includes Rajkiran, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Swasika, Bala Saravanan, Baba Bhaskar, Viji Chandrasekhar, Nikhila Sankar, and Geetha Kailasam. This film also reunites actor Soori with Lark Studios, who previously worked together on the 2024 film Garudan.

Maaman to Begin Streaming On ZEE5 From August 8

The film is set in Trichy and follows the life of Inba, a man deeply attached to his family. The storyline unfolds over various phases of Inba's life, exploring how he, along with his sister Girija, navigates family expectations, personal sacrifices, and shifting relationships. A turning point in the narrative is marked by the arrival of a long-awaited child in the family, which brings both joy and unforeseen complications. Inba's relationship with Rekha, a doctor, adds another layer to the film as the couple tries to strike a balance between marital life and family obligations. As challenges arise, tensions build, leading to emotional reckonings and eventual resolution.

The story was penned by Soori himself, with cinematography by Dinesh Purushothaman and music composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Ganesh Siva handled the editing, while G Durai Raj served as the art director. The film's lyrics were written by Vivek, Eknath, and Fernando S Manoharan. The soundtrack and background score have been released under Think Music.

While ZEE5 holds the post-theatrical streaming rights, satellite broadcasting rights have been secured by Zee Tamil and Zee Thirai, ensuring wider accessibility through television channels following its OTT release.

Maaman will stream in Tamil starting August 8, offering audiences a chance to revisit or newly experience the film's narrative and its focus on family dynamics.
