Maayakoothu Cast, Story & More
Maayakoothu is an upcoming Tamil-language crime fantasy-drama that marks A.R. Raghavendra's directorial debut. Starring Nagarajan Kannan as 'Vasan', the late noted actor Delhi Ganesh as an editor alongside Mu Ramaswamy, Sai Dheena, S.K. Gaayathri, among others, the film has been bankrolled by Rahul Deva and Prasad Ramachandran under the banners Rahul Movie Makers and Abimanyu Creations.
The film revolves around the story of an egotistical writer who is adamant and relentless. Avoiding writing for the mainstream magazines, citing the lack of freedom, Vasan creates tragic stories highlighting the oppressed and tortured people of society.
Amid decent buzz, Maayakoothu is scheduled to hit cinemas this Friday, July 11, 2025. Talking to Etimes, director A.R. Raghavendra was quoted, "Ganesh Sir's improvisations and spontaneity turned out to be the highlight during filming. Since we shot the movie in 2023, he had also dubbed for his character in the film.
