Madharaasi First Single Promo Update: The team behind the upcoming Tamil action thriller Madharaasi, starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, has officially announced the release date and time for the film's first single promo. The promo will drop on July 29 at 5 PM, building anticipation for what is expected to be a high-energy musical outing. It is believed that a full-on dance number is on the way, featuring Sai Abhyankkar.

This marks a reunion between director A.R. Murugadoss and composer Anirudh Ravichander, who previously worked together on Kaththi (2014) and Darbar (2020). For Sivakarthikeyan and Anirudh, Madharaasi represents their eighth collaboration, following a series of successful soundtracks. With this musical history in place, expectations are high for the audio of Madharaasi.

Madharaasi: Brings Together a Notable Cast and Experienced Crew

The film, produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies, brings together a star-studded ensemble. Alongside Sivakarthikeyan, the cast includes Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Vikranth, Prem Kumar, Sanjay, and Sachana Namidass. The title of the film was officially revealed on February 17, 2025, after the project had initially been referred to as SKxARM and SK23, indicating it as Sivakarthikeyan's 23rd film as a lead actor and his first collaboration with Murugadoss.

Principal photography began in February 2024, with filming reportedly taking place in Chennai and Pondicherry. Sudeep Elamon is behind the camera as director of photography, while veteran editor A. Sreekar Prasad handles the film's editing. Art direction is by Arun Venjaramoodu, and costumes are by Deepali Noor and Perumal Selvam. The action sequences are choreographed by Kevin Kumar, and visual effects are being delivered by Knack Studios, Phantom FX, and BeastBells.

Set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 5, 2025, Madharaasi will also be released in dubbed versions across Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, the latter reportedly titled Dil Madharaasi. The upcoming single promo is expected to offer the first taste of the film's soundscape and provide a glimpse into the film's tone.

With tomorrow's promo launch, the film kicks off its musical campaign in earnest, adding momentum to what is already one of the more closely watched Tamil releases of the year.
