Madharaasi Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 4: Sivakarthikeyan has packed a solid punch at the box office with the release of his new action thriller. Despite lack of pre-release buzz and massive promotions, the movie earned decent moolah in the cinema halls. While Coolie dominated the month of August, Sivakarthikeyan's Madharaasi is looking to impress the audience in September.

Gossip mills claimed that the producers earned profits by selling the digital and satellite rights of Madharaasi before the release for a premium amount. This was only possible due to Sivakartikeyan's stardom in Kollywood.

Madharaasi's OTT rights have been snatched by a leading OTT platform for Rs 40 crore. Zee Network has bagged the satellite rights by shelling a premium sum of money.

"Madharaasi is expected to premiere on Prime Video after the four-week theatrical window is completed. South films usually release on OTT platforms after four weeks, which means the movie will be available for streaming in the first week of October 2025. Prime Video has shelled Rs 40 crore for the digital rights of Madharaasi, all thanks to Sivakarthikeyan's fandom," a reliable industry source told Filmibeat's Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit.

The audience has shared their feedback for Madharaasi, calling it a masala entertainer. All eyes are on the box office earnings as the film has the potential to cross Rs 100-crore club in Tamil Nadu. Only Good Bad And Ugly and Coolie have been able to enter the coveted club this year at the Tamil Nadu box office collection.

"It was such an unexpected good watch. First half is peak and second half is good too. Muruga's best work since Kaththi. The action sequences are a treat; they are so grounded and Vikram's range of sequences. Viduyth & SK being slowly unleashed in last 45 minutes is peak stuff. SK's animal instinct being developed throughout the movie was so well written and it peaked at the delusion scene. As an action movie lover, I enjoyed the movie a lot. With a little better climax and initial portions of the second half, it would have been a unanimous blockbuster," one fan said.
