Manoj Bharathiraja's Wife: Tamil actor Manoj Bharathiraja is the son of legendary filmmaker Bharathiraja. Manoj was pronounced dead at his house on Tuesday, March 25, 2-25 in Chetpet, Chennai. The reason for the death was revealed to be cardiac arrest. Manoj was just 48 years old when he suffered the fatal heart attack. The famed actor-director reportedly had a bypass a few days ago. Despite all the medical attention, he died of cardiac arrest at 4 pm in his house. Manoj Bharathiraja was survived by his wife and two daughters.

Manoj Bharathiraja was married to Nandana Aswathi. They were friends for a long time before tying the knot in 2006. Nandana is a former actress who played roles in the Malayalam and Tamil industry. She made her debut with Snehithan in 2002. Nandana and Manoj were co-stars in Saadhuriyan. She retired from the film industry after getting married to Manoj.
Nandana and Manoj together have two daughters, named Arthika and Mathivadani. Manoj was reportedly known as "son-in-law of Kozhikode" among his wife Nandana's relatives. He was well known for his leadership qualities and helpful nature towards everyone.
Manoj last shared a picture with his wife on social media on January 10, 2023. He wrote, "Happy birthday my love..."
As per Mathrubhumi's report, Nandana's close relative and retired SBI manager, Rajarajeswari addressed the sudden demise of Manoj. He said, "We were shocked to hear about Manoj's demise. He underwent heart valve surgery on March 7 and was recovering. Even during his last check-up, he showed no signs of complications. However, his sudden passing on Tuesday evening was completely unexpected."
Manoj Bharathiraja was born on September 11, 1976 in Theni, Tamil Nadu. Being the son of the legendary filmmaker, he pursued theater arts at the University of South Florida and then entered the film industry. He began working in film as an assistant director, working under Mani Ratnam in the movie Bombay (1995). He then worked in various other films, including Taj Mahal, Samudhiram, Kadal Pookkal, Alli Arjuna, arushamellam Vasantham, and others.
