Paranthu Po X Review What Viewers Say About Ram s Film

Paranthu Po X Review: With Paranthu Po opening to the public today, early conversations about the film are beginning to emerge on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter). Starring Shiva and child actor Mithul Ryan in lead roles, the Tamil-language road musical comedy has been drawing attention since its premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) earlier this year.

Written, directed, and co-produced by Ram under his Seven Seas and Seven Hills Productions banner, Paranthu Po is a collaborative effort with JioHotstar and GKS Bros Productions. The film also features Grace Antony, Anjali, Vijay Yesudas, and Aju Varghese in significant roles, alongside Dia, Jesse Kukku, Balaji Sakthivel, and Sreeja Ravi.

Father-Son Journey Unfolds in Musical Comedy

As per the official synopsis, the film follows a determined schoolboy and his financially burdened father as they set out on a road trip to break away from the stresses of city life. During their journey, encounters with compassionate strangers gradually lead them to realize what has been absent from their lives back home.

The story is set against the backdrop of a journey that spans across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Given its classification as a road musical comedy, the film is expected to explore the experiences of its characters through travel, music, and humor. Paranthu Po is noted for introducing Malayalam actors Grace Antony and Aju Varghese to Tamil cinema.

The technical team includes cinematographer N. K. Ekambaram and editor Mathi V. S., with music jointly composed by Santhosh Dhayanidhi and Yuvan Shankar Raja. Lyrics are penned by Madhan Karky. Production design is handled by Kumar Gangappan, with Stunt Silva coordinating action sequences and Richy Richardson managing choreography.

The film's journey began in 2023, with its title officially announced in January 2025. It had its international debut at IFFR 2025 under the Limelight section. Now, with its theatrical release on July 4, viewers are expected to share their impressions online as screenings progress throughout the day.

Following its theatrical run, Paranthu Po is set to stream on JioHotstar, though the streaming date has yet to be announced. As per reports, satellite rights have been secured by Vijay TV and Colors Tamil. The film is distributed worldwide by Romeo Pictures, with music released under the Think Music label.

Reactions from early viewers will likely shape the public conversation around the film in the days to come, as audiences take to online platforms to express their thoughts and engage with others.
