Ravi Mohan's Allegations Met With Rebuttal From Sujatha Vijaykumar, Aarti's Mother And Veteran Film Producer

Ravi Mohan s Allegations Get Sujatha Vijaykumar s Reply

Sujatha Vijaykumar Responds To Ravi Mohan's Allegations: The family dispute between Tamil actor Ravi Mohan and his estranged wife Aarti took another public turn on Saturday, as Aarti's mother, veteran producer Sujatha Vijaykumar, issued a strongly worded statement denying the actor's recent allegations and expressing her distress over how her role has been portrayed.

Ravi Mohan, earlier this week, released a press statement alleging years of personal and financial abuse during his marriage, claiming he had been cut off from his children and wrongfully used as a guarantor for a multi-crore loan taken by his mother-in-law. Without naming her directly, Ravi Mohan had alleged that his wife's family invoked his name for financial gains and denied him meaningful access to his children following the couple's separation.

Sujatha Vijaykumar Breaks Silence On Financial Allegations

Sujatha Vijaykumar, a well-known figure in the Tamil film industry with over two decades of experience as a producer, has now broken her silence. In a detailed letter released on May 17, she denied the accusations leveled against her and expressed distress over what she described as an unfair portrayal of her role in the ongoing family conflict.

"This is the first time I am speaking out in public on a matter not related to my professional work," she wrote, noting that her preference has always been to maintain silence and dignity, especially in personal matters. She emphasized that her decision to speak now was motivated by a need to clarify misrepresentations and protect the integrity of her family.

Addressing Ravi Mohan's claims about financial exploitation, Sujatha detailed her long-standing career in both film and television production. She explained that she began producing films in 2007 with Veerappu and returned to film production in 2018 following encouragement from her son-in-law, Jayam Ravi (Ravi Mohan). Over the years, she produced three films starring him: Adangamaru, Bhoomi, and Siren.

Sujatha stated that she borrowed close to ₹100 crore from financiers to fund these projects, with about 25% allocated to Ravi Mohan's salary and taxes. She asserted that all transactions were properly documented and accounted for.

Crucially, she refuted Ravi Mohan's assertion that she had used his name as a guarantor for loans. "I would never misuse his name - not even if he were just an actor. Being my son-in-law, how could I ever jeopardize his future like that?" she said. She added that she had, in fact, signed multiple documents herself-sometimes on blank sheets provided by financiers-specifically to avoid involving Ravi in financial matters and to protect him from liability.

Sujatha also touched upon her efforts to re-establish communication with Ravi Mohan over the past year, saying these attempts were made in her capacity as a mother and grandmother, not as a producer. She said a recent message sent to him concerning a professional matter was misinterpreted as an effort to manipulate him for financial purposes, which she denied.

"If I have ever used his signature as surety-even for a single rupee-I invite those who make this claim to come forward and present that document. That is my sincere request," she wrote.

She acknowledged the emotional strain the situation has caused within the family and described her current state as one of deep sorrow. "No mother can bear to see her daughter lose her family and live in sorrow. I am living through that pain today," she said, referencing the breakdown of Aarti and Ravi's marriage.

The statement concluded with a request to the media not to label her as a tormentor, a family breaker, or anything else. Sujatha said she did not have the emotional strength to endure such portrayals during what she called the most difficult time in her life.

Take a Poll

This public rebuttal from Sujatha Vijaykumar follows earlier posts by Aarti and Ravi Mohan, which brought the private family issues into the public domain. Aarti had accused Ravi of emotional neglect and financial irresponsibility, while Ravi countered by alleging that he had been isolated from his children and exploited financially by his in-laws.

The dispute continues to draw significant attention, especially as both parties have chosen to speak directly to the public. With no sign of resolution yet and legal proceedings ongoing, the situation remains tense - with potential further developments expected in the days to come.
