Ravi Mohan Responds To Aarti's Allegations: Speaks Out On Abuse, Being Cut Off From Kids & Bond With Kenishaa

Ravi Mohan Issues Statement In Response To Allegations: Tamil actor Ravi Mohan took to social media on Thursday with a strongly worded post that has quickly become the center of public discussion, as he responded to allegations and speculation surrounding his personal life. Accompanying the post was a detailed press statement in which he addressed a host of personal and legal matters - from his separation and ongoing divorce proceedings to the emotional toll of estrangement from his children.
The actor's post on X (formerly Twitter), which read, "All these years I was being stabbed in the back, now I'm only glad that I'm being stabbed in the chest," further intensified public attention on his ongoing separation and legal proceedings. The post concluded with the words, "First and Final One From My Desk! With Love, Ravi Mohan 'Live and Let Live.'"
In the accompanying statement, Ravi Mohan described enduring what he claimed was "years of physical, mental, emotional, and financial abuse" during his marriage. He asserted that his silence over the past year was a form of "survival," not submission, and said he was compelled to speak now because "my integrity is being questioned by those who don't know my journey or my scars."
According to his account, his decision to file for divorce was made after multiple attempts to save the marriage. He claimed to have been prevented from meeting his own parents for years and stated that since the separation, he has been denied meaningful access to his children. He alleged that bouncers now accompany his children in public spaces to stop him from approaching them.
Particularly distressing, he said, was learning about a recent car accident involving his children only when he was contacted to provide an insurance-related signature. "No father deserves this," he wrote, describing himself as both emotionally and financially isolated.
Without naming her, Ravi Mohan pushed back against allegations from his estranged wife, accusing her of shaping a public narrative aimed at securing sympathy and financial advantages, including greater control over their children. He said he had handed over half of his assets during their marriage and continued to meet liabilities even after the separation - until, he said, the mounting strain made him question whether these demands were really in his children's best interests.
Ravi Mohan also claimed that a year ago, he was coerced into signing as a guarantor for a multi-crore loan taken by his ex-wife's mother, and that he was recently contacted again to make good on that guarantee. Ravi Mohan alleged that her family only invoked his name when it served their financial interests.
The statement further addressed public criticism of his recent appearance at a wedding with singer and spiritual therapist Kenishaa Francis. Ravi Mohan described Kenishaa as someone who offered him "a lifeline" during his most difficult moments, and rejected speculation that she was responsible for the breakdown of his marriage. He clarified that she supported him as a friend and emphasized that her role in his life should not be subject to ridicule or moral scrutiny.
"I will not ever allow even a whisper of disrespect toward her character or her profession," he said, adding that she chose to help him despite being bound by the ethical boundaries of her profession as a therapist.
"Men, Too, Are Victims," Says Ravi Mohan In Public Statement
Ravi Mohan concluded his statement by reiterating his belief in the legal system and his desire to move forward with dignity. He also addressed fans and members of the public who have expressed disappointment or mocked his situation on social media. "Men, too, are victims of abuse, coercion, and emotional manipulation," he wrote, stating that this would be his final public comment on the matter.
The statement comes just days after his estranged wife, Aarti Ravi, shared an emotional post on Instagram on May 9, breaking her year-long silence. In her post, she described raising their two sons alone, accused Ravi Mohan of financial abandonment, and said she was served an eviction notice. Her post coincided with the public appearance of Ravi Mohan and Kenishaa Francis, further fueling speculation about the actor's personal life.
While neither party has directly named the other in public statements, the back-and-forth has now drawn considerable public attention. Legal proceedings in the couple's divorce and custody battle are ongoing.
For now, both appear committed to pursuing their claims in court. But with both sides sharing personal experiences in the public domain, it's clear that the dispute - once private - has entered a new, far more visible stage.
