Srikanth Drug Case: Tamil Actor Krishna Goes Missing After Police Investigate His Role In Matter
Tamil actor Krishna has vanished following his connection to a drug investigation involving actor Srikanth. Police are searching for him as the case develops, revealing significant implications for the Tamil film industry.

Tamil actor Krishna has disappeared following the arrest of actor Srikanth in a drug-related investigation. The Greater Chennai Police are actively searching for Krishna, who vanished after his name emerged during the probe. His phone is reportedly off, and a special police team is working to locate him. No statements have been made by Krishna or his family regarding the situation.
Krishna's involvement came to light through leads obtained during Srikanth's questioning. The investigation aims to uncover any potential connections Krishna might have with the case. Srikanth, known for his roles in Tamil and Telugu films, was arrested earlier this week and is currently in judicial custody at a first-class prison.
Drug Case Investigation
The investigation began with Prasad's arrest, a former AIADMK IT Wing executive, after a bar brawl in Nungambakkam last month. His phone revealed WhatsApp chats indicating a drug trail, leading authorities to Pradeep Kumar, believed to be Prasad's supplier. During Pradeep's interrogation, Srikanth's name surfaced as well.
Srikanth was filming "Theengarai," produced by Prasad when he allegedly admitted to using drugs during production. He claimed Prasad introduced him to these substances, suggesting they would enhance his performance on screen. This confession led to further questioning at the Nungambakkam police station.
Judicial Proceedings
Srikanth was presented before the 14th Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Egmore and ordered into custody until July 7. Due to his public profile and reported health concerns related to his child, he is being held in a first-class facility. Police suspect Srikanth procured drugs over 40 times, with transactions totaling Rs 4.72 lakh traced via Google Pay to alleged supplier Pradeep Kumar.
The case has caused ripples across political and film circles in Chennai. It started with a bar altercation but quickly expanded into a complex web of drug trafficking involving financial transactions and confessions from within the film industry.
Krishna comes from a film family; his father is producer KK Sekar (known as Pattiyal Sekar), and his brother is director Vishnuvardhan, famous for films like "Billa" and "Shershaah." Despite the ongoing investigation, no official comments have been released by Krishna or his family members.
The unfolding events have captured public attention as authorities continue their efforts to unravel the full extent of this scandal within the Tamil film industry.
