Thalaivan Thalaivii Box Office Collection Day 4: Vijay Sethupathi Film Crosses ₹25 Cr Mark In Just Four Days

Thalaivan Thalaivii Box Office Collection Day 4 Update

Thalaivan Thalaivii Box Office Collection: Thalaivan Thalaivii, the Tamil romantic action comedy featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, has wrapped up its first four days at the box office with an estimated India net collection of ₹25.79 crore, according to box office tracker Sacnilk. While the film opened to steady numbers on its first day, it saw its highest earnings over the weekend before experiencing a notable decline on Monday.

Directed and written by Pandiraj, the film was released in theaters on July 25, 2025. The project was initially referred to as VJS51, marking Sethupathi's 51st film in a lead role. The official title was unveiled in May this year, and production spanned from August 2024 to February 2025, with shoots conducted in Chennai and Tiruchirappalli.

The day-wise collection shows that the film earned ₹5.2 crore on Friday, followed by a sharp rise to ₹7.85 crore on Saturday, a 50% growth. Sunday brought in the highest single-day figure of ₹9.7 crore, signaling strong weekend footfall and interest among audiences. However, on Monday, collections dropped to an estimated ₹3.04 crore, marking a 68.66% decline from the previous day. This kind of weekday dip is fairly typical for theatrical releases, especially after an intense weekend run.

All Eyes on Second Weekend as Film Continues First-Week Run

The film, produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, centers around a fiery love story between a strong-willed couple, blending themes of romance, conflict, and emotional tension. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, the film features Yogi Babu in a supporting role. The music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with M. Sukumar handling cinematography and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.

The film's technical crew includes contributions from art director K. Veerasamar, stunt coordinator Kalai Kingson, and costume designer Poornima Ramaswamy, among others. The audio rights are held by Think Music.

Take a Poll

As Thalaivan Thalaivii enters its first full week, industry watchers will be looking at how it performs amid weekday slowdowns and competition from upcoming releases. The second weekend will likely play a crucial role in determining the film's long-term box office prospects.
