Thug Life Box Office Collection Day 5 Early Updates: From official announcement to trailer and movie release, Kamal Haasan's latest biggie 'Thug Life' has managed to be under the spotlight ever since day 1. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the Tamil-language pan-India biggie marks legendary South actor Kamal Haasan's reunion with the iconic Mani Ratnam over 38 years after their cult-classic film 'Nayakan'.

Right before its grand theatrical release worldwide on June 5, 2025, Thug Life got banned in Karnataka over Kamal Haasan's controversial 'Kannada language is born out of Tamil' remark. Thug Life Box Office Collection Day 4 (First Weekend)

Despite Kamal Haasan's star power and strong pre-release buzz, Thug Life opened to negative reviews from fans and critics alike. As per Sacnilk, the Tamil-language pan-India actioner managed to earn Rs 15.5 cr on the day of its release, followed by an almost 60% drop on working Friday. The movie raked in around Rs 7.15 cr on Friday and barely witnessed any boost in numbers on the weekend.

As reported by Sacnilk, the Kamal Haasan starrer added Rs 7.75 cr on Saturday and Rs 6.5 cr on Sunday, taking the estimated net earnings to Rs 36.9 cr at the domestic box office in 4 days.

Kamal Haasan, Trisha Krishnan and Silambrasan starrer Thug Life has been having a slow growth today (Monday, June 9). According to the latest Sacnilk update, the movie has hit Monday blues and has managed to somehow mint Rs 1.39 cr (approx.) today, on its first Monday, till 5 PM IST. As of now, the total net collection is reported to be at Rs 38.29 cr, struggling to even touch the Rs 40 cr mark.

As per the same Sacnilk report, Thug Life has so far recorded an overall 16.82% Tamil occupancy on Monday, June 09, 2025.
