According to a report published in Sacnilk, Thug Life has been witnessing a continuous dip post the opening weekend. The movie recorded a dip of 21.74% and earned Rs 1.8 crores on day 6 (first Tuesday) following which the total collection of the movie turns out to be Rs 41 crores

To note, Thug Life has failed to beat Indian 2 on the 6th day of release. While Indian 2 minted Rs 3.3 crores on day 6, Thug Life minted almost its half and settled at Rs 1.8 crores.

Meanwhile, during an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, Kamal Haasan opened up on why it took him almost 4 decades to reunite with Mani Ratnam and stated, "It is that college reunion, they go about minding their business, suddenly they realize you've not met your old friend who could enhance your business, even why didn't I think of it kind of thing. They want to do that, but work keeps them away, and then one day, all of them plan and come together. That's what happened in this, it's as simple as that".
