While the official streaming date has not been announced, the film will be available on Netflix after its theatrical run.

There has been speculation regarding the digital rights deal, with some reports claiming that Netflix secured the rights for ₹149.7 crore. However, no official confirmation on the financial terms has been issued by the production team.

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam Reunite

Thug Life reunites Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam decades after their acclaimed collaboration in Nayakan (1987). The film features an ensemble cast that includes Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sanya Malhotra, Abhirami, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Nassar, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Rohit Saraf, and Vaiyapuri.

Jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies, Thug Life marks Haasan's 234th film as a lead actor. The project was initially announced in November 2022 as Kamal Haasan 234, with its official title unveiled a year later. Filming began in January 2024 and concluded later that year, with key locations including Chennai, Kanchipuram, Pondicherry, New Delhi, and regions across North India.

The film's technical crew includes A. R. Rahman as composer, Ravi K. Chandran as cinematographer, and A. Sreekar Prasad as editor. The first single, "Jinguchaa," was released on April 18, 2025, while a 45-second teaser was unveiled on Haasan's birthday, November 7, 2024.

As Thug Life approaches its theatrical release, Netflix has not yet announced a digital premiere date. Those looking to stream the film will likely need to wait a few months for further updates from the platform.
